Spine Adjustment For Low Back Pain

By September 5th, 2018No Comments

Low back pain is pain or discomfort in the lower lumbar region of the back. Acute back pain generally follows some kind of injury related to daily activities, like, household work, gardening, and sports injury. Low back pain normally occurs from repetitive micro traumas to the spine. It causes irritation and if left untreated over a period, it can end up causing changes in spinal structure. Pain that lasts for more than three months is classified as chronic pain.

A chiropractic treatment consists of spinal adjustments which aligns the body’s musculoskeletal structure, particularly the spine, enabling the body to heal itself without any surgery or medication.

To completely heal pain, our chiropractors provide Physiotherapy such as stretches, exercise, massage, and electric stimulation to help reduce muscle spasms and tightness. For chronic muscle spasms, hot moist packs and ultrasound treatment are provided to effectively increase blood flow. Ice therapies are also provided to help reduce swelling in acute low back cases.

The chiropractors at Family Chiropractic and Wellness evaluate and examine the medical history of a patient thoroughly.

If you are facing acute or chronic pain in lower back, schedule an appointment with us. We can help.
