Exercises That Fit In With Chiropractic Treatment

Patients need to follow the nutrition and workout plans to get pain relief and experience better health. At Family Chiropractic & Wellness, we usually recommend the exercises listed below to all our patients. These will speed up your recovery and help you stay fit at the same time.

For the Neck

Your neck is supposed to be flexible and move comfortably to the full extent of its range of motion. But if you can’t do that or experience pain and stiffness in your neck, you need to exercise to regain that flexibility. Here’s a list of exercises that can help and these should be done five times each twice a day:

  • Tilt your head back and then forwards gently and at a comfortable pace. So as far as you can without straining yourself.
  • Keep your shoulder straight and steady before tilting your head from one side to another as far as it can go so that your forehead almost touches your shoulder.
  • Make clockwise and anticlockwise circles with your head in all directions.
  • Turn your head from one side to another as far as you can go with your neck and shoulders straight.
  • Lace your fingers behind your neck and hold your hands stead as you back your head back against the resistance.

For the Back

A few regular stretches and exercises can work wonders for your back and keep stiffness and pain at way.

  • Lie on your back and bring your knee to your chest carefully.
  • Lie on the floor with your hands and feet placed firmly on the ground before you arch your hips towards the ceiling.
