5 Problems That a Chiropractor Can Treat

chiropractorA Chiropractor can treat a variety of different illnesses. They aim to trigger the body’s natural healing ability and get rid of any discomfort that you might experience. Most people don’t believe that chiropractic care can be any substitute for normal medications and treatments. At Family Chiropractic & Wellness, we want to show that a chiropractor can legitimately treat a variety of problems. These problems are:

1 – Lower Back and Neck Pain

In a 183-patients study conducted in 2003, it was discovered that people suffering from neck pain recovered faster through chiropractic care than through general medicine and physiotherapy. Another study showcased that at least 53% of the patients treated by chiropractors experienced greater and faster relief from lower back pain.

2 – Headaches

Chiropractors have been immensely successful in treating headaches. About 22% of the people who underwent chiropractic treatment for headaches admitted that they had seen a 90% reduction in the pain; 49% said that they had seen a significant reduction.

3 – Sciatica

Chiropractic care is also found to be successful in treating sciatica. In fact, studies showed about a 72% success rate for chiropractors treating sciatica and its symptoms. Physical therapy and physician treatments only lead to 20% and 50% success respectively.

4 – Frozen Shoulder

There was a study conducted that involved 50 patients with severe frozen shoulder problems. Of the 50, 16 found that their frozen shoulder was healed completely. 25 showed improvement between 75% and 90%. 8 people showed improvement between 50% and 75%, and 1 person showed improvement between 0 to 50%.

5 – Blood Pressure

According to studies, one upper cervical adjustment is enough to lower the blood pressure to the same levels that two medicines might accomplish. Patients saw a greater drop by 14 mm Hg in the systolic blood pressure and by 8 mm Hg greater drop in diastolic blood pressure than the levels achieved by the medications.

Along with the above mentioned problems, chiropractors can also treat scoliosis, neurological conditions, help improve athletic performance, address colic and ear infections, and help prevent surgery. So if you have any such problems, you should visit your chiropractor today.
